Disassembly and assembly method steps of micropipette

Micropipet is an indispensable tool for biochemical experiments or molecular biology experiments. However, the correctness of the method of use and the accuracy of the micropipette directly affect the accuracy of the experimental results, so please Have an in-depth understanding of the micropipette you have. The micropipettes used in this laboratory are Gilson Pipetman P series, including P1000, P200, P20, etc. The following methods of use and precautions are partly taken from the instructions attached to the original manufacturer. Please read them carefully before proceeding with the experiment.
1) Know the location and name of each part of the micropipette.
2) Remove D (ejector) and unscrew C (connecting nut); be careful when unscrewing, because the spring in E (piston assembly) is easy to pop out.
3) Remove the parts C, H (tip holder) and E in sequence.
4) Check whether there are any residual salts or reagents in the tip holder. If there is any dirt, wash it with water, wipe it dry, and let it dry.
5) Check whether the black O-ring (F) and white Teflon gasket (G, piston seal) on E (piston assembly) are still there? If there are salt or reagent residues, rinse with water, wipe with alcohol, and wipe dry.
◆ Note that piston assembly cannot be coated with petroleum jelly or vacuum grease.
6) Sequentially restore the components of each part to the original state.
