During the analysis, the movement of T cells is active. In particular, in a living body or a Petri dish, pre-activated T cells migrate quickly, often leaving traces of cytokines. At the same time, if the plate is shaken (for example, the impact of the opening and closing of the incubator door) or is moved during capture, the cells will be rolled up, leaving streaks or irregularly shaped spots.
Causes of contamination of petri dishes
Petri dishes and multi-well culture plates are particularly susceptible to contamination due to the following reasons.
1. The exposed surface area of the mouth of the petri dish is relatively large.
2. When operating an open petri dish, there is a danger of touching the edge of the petri dish.
