Method for removing culture medium from petri dish or culture plate

1.Put the petri dish or culture plate on the side of the workbench.
2.Turn on the suction pump.
3. Pick out the straw that has not been added with cotton and poke it to the suction tube of the suction pump.
4.Put the petri dish or culture plate in the center of the work area.
5.Remove the lid of the petri dish or culture plate, and place it on the back of the petri dish or culture plate with the mouth facing up.
6. Pick up the petri dish as close to the bottom as possible. Be careful not to touch the edge of the Petri dish and not to pass your hands through the open opening.
Petri dish or its lid (after practice, you can open the lid well without removing the lid completely, and tilt the petri dish to remove the old medium, which is faster and safer than the previous method).
7. Tilt the petri dish to remove the medium. If there is no pump, discard the used medium into the waste liquid beaker.
8. Replace the lid.
9. Move the petri dishes to the opposite side of the work area from the untreated petri dishes.
10.Dispose of the remaining petri dishes and plates in the same way.
11.Discard the suction tube and turn off the suction pump.
